My son started around 3 or so, but my daughter started at 2 1/2. Most kids just on quick since they all have been driving Power Wheels.

Here is the latest video from my kids from last weekend. the kids are now 3 1/2 on the green one and 5 1/2 on the red one!

My son started right before he turned 3 years old. IMO before that its somewhat hard to communicate with them.

Old Cat Man, what mods have you done to the red 120? My son wants to go faster already.

Looks like they were having lots of fun. If you haven't ever thought of it, you might want to invest around $100 (about $50 each) in the 2-way head sets for FRS radios. Both my boys have them in their helmets and it's great. If my oldest is out in the field and runs out of gas, rolls it, stalls it, etc.....he just presses the button on the handlebars and it's dad to the rescue. It is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO worth the money. Here's link:

We have Cobra radios, but they make the headsets for several different manufacturers. Food for thought.

I'm pretty happy with THE MOD we have done so far. Just the spring from Rec Motors! Very easy to install and really makes it sound better and it does about 12-14mph now and he loves the extra speed as you can see him pass his sister at will!

Yes, I actually bought those last year for my wife and I but it might be good for the kids.

Nice! I just ordered the spring from Recmotor.

My son was complaining this past weekend that the sled was too slow!

Here is my 3 year old. He'll be 4 in March. He has had a Honda 50 since 2 with training wheels. This was his second time on the sled and he got 2nd place at a local hill climb. He only got beat by a older kid on a Snow Scoot that was ripping up the hill.

Great video!

Thank you.

I've started getting some footage for this season, just wish we had more snow.

I've also had more practice using my iMac and making better movies.

Nice video!

You need to teach one of your sons to keep his feet on the boards!!!

My son was 2 1/2 for his first ride on the 120. As long as they have lots of area to practice with no bumps or trees and you keep the speed down he was fine. Now 3 1/2 he is very confident but does not have the strength if it gets real bumpy. I tied a string to the lanyard for the first few trips and just ran around behind him. Good luck.

My son started when he was 2 and my daughter when she was 4. My step-sons where 6 and 8. You can tell the difference now that they are older.

Fantastic video, I love the course you set up for them. I can't wait for my daughter to start riding so my son can have someone to race around.

My boys were both under 2. They worked the throttle (gover'ned down), & I had a rope on the ski loop to keep control of them.
By the next season they both were able to manouver the yard themselves.
Now my oldest (6) runs a 200cc mod (ski doo mini) with pipe, gear, clutch & jet kit. He is pulling about 25 miles per hour.
My problem now, is that his little brother (5) can't catch him (ZR120 pipe only).... Do you think the mods will ever end???????????? frantics.gif

I don't want to mod my 120's I think my oldest might be ready to race the Freestyle class next year, this depends on how much weight he puts on over the summer.
I do not feel good about putting a 48 lb. kid on a 300cc sled. But thats just my opinion.
