Anyone ever ran the RPC 800 900 1000 pipes they had a while back? I recently picked up a pair for dirt cheap brand new... I didnt get any specs with them but I was told the famous "no clutching needed" story.. But however I was told there might be a possible cut and reweld job instore for me? For prolonged lake running I was reccomended that I cut the internal stinger out of them or something.. I was wondering if anyone heard this before.. Thanks.

Do you have any pictures? I have run several sets. All had external stingers??
And yes you will need to reclutch, because they are higher revving pipes. Great pipes but loud. You will need to rejet as well.

Yes... I should have emailed them first... :P Anyway they do have the welded on stingers but I was told they protrude into the expansion chamber and this heats up with prolonged use and makes them run too hot or hampers performance somehow.. I will get pics as they probably need to know too.. Im planning on running them on my 1996 900.

I bought some RPC pipes for my '97 tcat but ended up putting on Simmons stealth pipes instead.
I like the simmons, I have one pipe that doesn't fit just right on the can, and it's leaking a little, but I'll fix that.
The welds on the RPC pipes are shit! Pin holes everywhere!

Oh ya.. so I went ahead and got ahold of reichards... They called me back which was nice... But it was a younger sounding guy and he told me that if nothing is on their web page, then they wouldnt have anything... LOL wow.. nice! I asked him if he knew of anywhere else..? He pointed me in the direction of Black Magic... I was baffled... I asked him if they run RPC pipes and he replied "no but they sell triple pipes and are probably really close"
I shouldnt be a stickler here cause Im pulling at strings for help with these pipes, but jesus (correct me if Im wrong and I appologise) black magic for help with RPC's stuff??

Was not I you spoke with. If It was I would have refered you to Jeff Simon of CPR. He built those pipes for us.

Hmmm blewsmoke, looks like they're built by the same place.
