If you sled does not have a battery/electric start it DOES NOT have 12V DC power! It only has 12V AC power and will FRY your GPS. You need to add a rectifier to change the AC to DC. It appears the easiest way to do this is buy the 12 Volt Acc plug kit from Polaris FOR A NON BATTERY SLED (There are 2 kits) and it includes the plug and the rectifier.

Have had my GPS hooked to my 600 Fusion all last year with no problems. There is 12v on the sled

Amen. The part number for the Polaris DC kit is #2872214. It includes a rectifier, a large waterproofed capacitor, some wiring plug/harnesses, a 12 volt cigarette lighter receptacle, and thorough instructions. I just put one on my Edge. Basically you mount the rectifier at the stock regulator, plug into a 12 volt AC feed, rectified DC is then fed to the capacitor, then to what you want to power; in this case the cig lighter receptacle. Its very easy to do.

If you have an IQ with Cleanfire, there IS DC voltage there, its to run the fuel pump in the tank. However, it provides a miniscule amount of amperage, and tapping that source could compromise your fuel pump not getting the voltage it needs. Your GPS won't consume much, but I wouldn't do it. Get the kit with the receptacle, plenty of amperage, and you can run a spotlight etc.
