i was bored here in Fargo (no snow) and i had heard of geocaching before. it is a "game" where you are givin coordinates to find a "cache." the coordiantes are very close usually and you search the area, somtimes with hints, to find this capsule of some sort. then you sign your name (or username form geocaching.com) on the log inside, and you caan trade items (small trinkets usually).

i decided to try it the other day and found that it was quite a bit of fun, and it is great practice using your GPS.

it is worldwide!

just wondering if anyone on here does it at all?

I've done it a few times and it's really cool. I did one with my 8-year-old niece last month and she loved it. I've been thinking about setting a few snowmo-caches around here - maybe showing off some nice views or hiding a cache behind a shelter or something.

I'm in Ely. So far I've only ridden around here, but if I can find a free weekend, I'm going to trailer some place and explore a new area. My buddy and I had planned on doing the circle tour this year, but with the snow the way it is, we're probably better of waiting.

i have been into geocaching for almost 2 yrs. i did a lot the first summer but havnt had as much time lately. I find it extremly fun and u never know what u will see or find. i specially love that it made e get out in my area and see lots of cool land marks that i never knew were so close to where i live.

my log name is "dawginit81" and i have a few caches hidden myself.

Been caching for quite a few years. Caching handle is campertime. Love exploring new areas while camping. Sure teaches you how to use your gpsr. The kids love going on the treasure hunts as well.

Anyone ever find one of the Jeep travel bugs? They're pretty cool and you have a chance at winning a new Jeep. How about Geocoins? We've found a few and I even created a coin for my camping club for a fund raiser. If you find one in a cache keep it moving. If you collect them and want one send me an email I have about 80 of them left and they are for sale.
