It should be pretty close. It is one of the first to freeze up there along with Oxtongue. thumbsup.png

I agree with Dude, but all lakes are different, Our lake was open last Sat as well but made 41/2" of new ice as of last night at 5pm. I'll be running it on Saturday.

that's you though.... when there is only 5 inches I try to stay off as it probably isnt 5 all the way across. When I'm on the lake I want to know that if the sled breaks down I can walk to shore and not hit soft spots. I like 8 inches of white ice personally, which should be good for next weekend. You're a local though, so you know that lake pretty well... there are lakes around me that I would run this weekend for the same reason. still not recommending it... the water's still high and moving fast in places.

Correct dude and I will also be running just off shore this weekend, I have no intention on checking the plugs out in the middle. no.gif

WHITE ICE..... White ice is the weak ice. You want good clear stuff. I live by the if you dont' know don't go rule. I wil be on our lake this weekend if there is enough but I will only run tight to shore and stay in one section of the lake.
