Make sure you don't have ur lunch made by the store in oquossoc, unless you like brick-hard bread. Someone should say something to them about it... next time maybe i'll have to.
New Maine Rider
I think they gave that to you on purpose to stuff your pie hole!!!

That place is sweet and the subs are usually great.

you could try cupsuptic camp grounds on 16 if you dont mind a camper with no running water. there is a bath house for toilet and shower, well heated! ask at the store in oquossoc for details. bring your sleeping bag!

yeah I wasn't trashing their store... im just saying their bread doesnt seem to be the best in the world. But i think its probably hard because we ride for half the day with it in our back packs and below-freezing temps.

You better not be trashing them, they have a very stong connections to the entire community up there, and I would not want to get on there bad side. After what you wrote here I would not go back in there and say anything.

Ok, all i said is that the bread was hard, but neglected to say the sandwich was half froze too. GEEEZ.

Other than that i have bought lots of other food there and it was great. This isn't a free country anymore is it?

It's a fee country, but if that was your business and you relied on sledders for a major part of your business and someone were post somewhat negitive tings about your business, that can tend to piss people off. I have seen too many things one the boards get blown way out of proportion. If you had numerous bad accounts of a business than youmight ask if other have had the same experience, but one time ??? Just remember up in the Western and Northern areas they all look out for one another, so we need to watch what we say. Many people up there would go way out of there way to help you in any situation, just keep these things in mind. Plus think of all the posts of people looking to go to this area that have not been there, now they a bad image in there head of this business, I have been there myself many time over the years and never had a bad experience. They might not always have what you want, but that's expected in a small store. as of right now 169 people have read this, think about that???

I ate a steak sub there for lunch today and it was great. Also the bumbleberry pie was excellent.

You apparently ate your sandwich before putting it in your backpack for 4+ hours. That store has great chow, never been disappointed.
