Well as far as Derby Pond goes, it was frozen over this past weekend. I did see tracks going down to it yesterday, but i am not sure if it has been crossed or not. The tracks could have been turned around. I would think by this weekend it will be safe, but no guarantees. Dont take my word for it. Ill report back this weekend.

Regardless of ice thickness, you should do it WOT

Really though, if I crossed it, I sure as hell wouldnt waste any time.

This came off (IP) Brightons report yesterday morning. From our own groominfool. Take it for what its worth.

Morning Sledders,
Well the storm has passed and we got between 6-8" depending on location and elevation. We are rolling the groomers for the first time this morning to begin packing and opening up the trails. Please stayed tuned to the "Trail Report" page on this site for further updates and please stay off all bodies of water.

I'm not saying I would go on the ice, it's still to early to have uniform thickness, but someone has cause there apear to be 2 fishing shants visible from the web cam. No one ever said icefisherman were sane.

They always say that no matter what--even if there is a foot of ice on the pond

It was 70 degrees last week. Stay off the ice for now and stay alive.
