Then also read you need insurance to obtain season trail pass. What's the deal? Also, is there still a mail in rebate , per yearly trail pass that is obtainable. Ya, i no it's a mundane question, but it's much easier to get knowledgeable answers here...thanks

off the $ 220.00 season pass........$40.00 is for liability insurance. It is up to you to insure your sled or not for damage, thief, etc.
Since you are not Canadian, you are not allowed to the $40.00 rebate.

so if i understand correctly, I do not need my own insurance, since liability coverage is part of the reg. tcket. i can obtain the reg without bringing proof of private insurance. thanks again....

When you buy the Quebec pass, yes their is 500k liability insurance included- This is however only good in Quebec, insurance does not carry out of the province. If you are from out of province, I believe you are not intitled to the 40$ refund if you already have your own liability insurance. When you buy your pass, they will give you a booklet- Everything you need to know is in the booklet, if you can't find your info ask the seller of the pass- they ususally can help you out.

sorry......should have said refund instead of rebate. The reason why we are claiming the $40 is... we are already paying liability insurance with our own insurance company in most cases. So why paying it twice.
Americans can't claim it back.

Your correct, you do not need your own to to get the pass. You do need a valid registration though.
