wow take a look at the beginning of next week. The temps are going to be down to -6

this should deff help harden up the ground under the 2 feet of snow we get on monday. Lets hope this one hits us in a big way we have all been patiently waiting

But if the snow comes *before* the cold temps, it'll insulate the non-frozen ground--and streams. I don't think they're going to freeze up under all that snow.
We *really* need those freezing temps BEFORE the snow.
Off topic--where'd all the cool smiles go?!?!

current temp is 23 degrees. So the ground is still getting frozen just not as fast as it would if it were -6

This is great news! The last I looked--yesterday??--I think it was in the mid to high 30s.
Can anyone in the Lyndonville/Burke area let us know the ground and water conditions? Is it frozen? Freezing?
Thanks!

2 feet on Monday huh? That'd be amazing, but NOAA.org is calling for 6". I'd rather have the 2 feet though.

I pulled 2 feet outta my ass but seriously the snowfall amount can change depending on how the strom tracks
