We are currently demoing a set in northern Mn, but do to the lack of snow I can't tell you that much. But, with the little bit of time we do have on them, I can tell you that they are ALOT smoother and provide WAY better traction than the steel cleated track. Makes our old Tucker seem alot newer. If we get some snow this year, I will keep you updated.

Was it as simple as removing the old tracks and swapping for the new ones? No other parts to change? Please keep me posted as to how they are holding up. It's still a lot of money to upgrade an older unit but our 94 Tucker is in great shape otherwise. No snow at all here in Vermont...worst winter I can remember in 35+ years of riding.

What does a complete set of 4 tracks run? We have the cleat style tracks and thinking of upgrading. We have a Sno- cat.

Hans Hall tracks are about $20,000 plus shipping. Tucker Terra tracks are twice that as you have to modify the carriers. It's a lot of money!

On the rubber track conversion it looks like the rubber cleats still bolt on. I have not personally seen these tracks. Is this true?
On our 93 Tucker the main track problem is tearing the belts. If you have some great pictures of these tracks could you post them, I have only viewed on their web site.
Please post and update when you have some hours on these.

They still use the belt system and have a bolt on rubber cleat. Same drive system as the steel cleats. The rubber cleat looks like the terra pattern. It should cut down on sprocket wear also.

Do these tracks use the Tucker belts or some after market belt? We tear belts. Its is the #1 track problem. Love to hear more from people who have hours on these. We ran our Tucker 560 hours last year. Groomed around 3200 miles. Belts twice complete. Front track tore off when we fell through the ice.

We buy single ply belting from Cooks and have no problems.

Did you ever get snow to use your machine? The more I check, the more it's going to cost to upgrade. We are now looking to upgrade to a newer unit instead of just replacing the tracks.

We looked at converting with cooks, the cost of the parts alone was well over $50,000 thats without labor. the other factor is that the state will not fund it unless we do a motor or transmission overhaul, which we do not need. I wish someone could give me an answer as why the state insists on making us spend more money than is necessary to make this machine what we want it to be, besides the "thats the way its always been".
by the time we were done it was going to cost the club the same amount of money buy a brand new tucker terra 1000hd, so we went looking for a used rubber tucker 1000 or 2000. still looking unfortunantly

I'm curious about the performance of the Hans-Hall tracks - can anyone report?
Current pricing - $22K + shipping - these are rubber belts with rubber cleats, no other parts to swap out - come all assembled and they wont sell just the cleats (custom belts)
Terra track conversion is now $60K parts only - have to replace entire undercarraige

I never heard from anyone when I asked last year. We bought an 02 Terra 2000 last fall so I gave up looking for info on the Hans Halls tracks.

I'm in the same club as Jabnorth, and our club did buy the Hans Hall tracks. While we were trying them out we had some fastener issues, but Hans Hall sent a person overseas to us (as well as a rep from Track Inc. in MN), and once they replaced the fasteners we've had no problems at all! They aren't as smooth as the Terra tracks, but are a huge improvement over the steel cleats. Much better traction on sidehilling, but perhaps a little less straight line traction for hills. We paid $18,000 (U.S.) for these (they were used, after we had them for a season!!). If your club already has an older Sno-Cat, this may be the way to go. Much cheaper than a new machine, and we've had zero maintenance issues since the fastener issue (they were the first units in daily use, to the best of my knowledge).
If we had it to do over, we would certainly purchase them again.
