Mines pretty much stock... Fuel reducer and some clutch time... runs good.

When i get there i will have around 200 1.325 studs...hopefully that will help. I havent decided if im goin gto strap it doewn yet or not.

Im going to leave the gears stock, but bring otehrs to try.

I'll be running it in the stock class, whose going to be my competition?

You don't have to be registerd anywhere to run on the track. That means you will have to Trailer there though.
2002Silverex

If there is it is going to be marginal. Supose to get some more snow Friday ..... possibly ..... so cross your fingers.
JJDREVCT
Hey Red, just to clarify, should we expect hard packed snow (4-6 inches) or will it be down to the dirt.

I know regardless, by the end of the day the first 100 feet will be dirt, but what exactly are the track conditions to start?

I am going to be as honest as I can here. It will be packed and hopefully setup with some cold temps before this Sat, but by the end of the day you are probably going to see some dirt on the starting line. Unfortunetly there is not a whole lot of snow to work with to try and keep it packed all day.
JJDREVCT
Sounds like the best answer you could have given!!! Se ya then.
2002Silverex
I went up yesterday to look at the track to try to get my sled setup the best possible for the conditions. I observed about 8-10 inches of powder in the field, and they have bene packing it down. The track itself is rock hard, and is smooth as a babys bottom.

You guys have done a GREAT job with it!!

The temps have been cold and are going to contiue to stay cold until saturday afternoon. Saturdays high for Lyndonville is only about 9 degrees F. Its snowing there now and are supposed to get 1-3 inches today...

So, my guess would be the strip is going to be about as good as it could be with temps and amount of snow cooperating perfectly!

As far as riding there, i did notice that the groomer went through burke yesterday and not one sled had been across it yet. But the snow is marginal and i did see dirt spots...so best bet would be to trailer in.

Hope that helps, i should have taken pictures! Sorry...
JJDREVCT
Sounds good. Thanks for the report.

Double Elimination. ISR (International Snowmobile Racing) is who sanctions us, and their point system calls for 5 pts for 1st, 4 for 2nd, 3 for 3rd, 2 for 4th and 1 for 5th. We give 1 pt each to everyone who comes that/each week and we have a high points trophy at end of year in EACH class. We have a CONSOLATION round race off for 5th place so we tell you not to put your sleds away if you lost one or two races.
