You know I always thought i was an optimist but with the last couple of weeks of inaccurate weather reports and warm weather I'm feeling more like a pessimist. Screw it!!! My dads a pessimist and I can't stand that negitive attituide. So I'll just say, man I really hope that guy is right. This weather pattern wasn't bothering me til last weekend, now I'm just plain old aggrivated and grumpy..... Right now I have the "don't screw with me attituide" so that must make me an assimist....

Hey Brad, I hope you didn't spend your gas money on school yet. I was getting this horrible feeling the B2B ride would be cancelled. I'm looking so forward to that ride not to mention I have 750 bucks in donations. It would be devistating not able to do the ride.

hahaha Hi Rog, I've been up the Chez Pigion quit a bit :drunk: and my kid is up there right now. The place is a ghost town. It kills me to see the gates closed on trail 111 going across Rt 114.

Plus up further they changed the 105 trial so when you cross rt 114 no more going near the farmers barn and bridge, then the truckers back yard. Its all changed around and can"t wait to find out where it goes? Maybe next week????

i really didn't want to spend $90 on a TMA i'm going to use once, but, if this storm comes and we get a buttload of snow.............. well, the ride is such a blast.

Ya I noticed that when I was surveying out there a couple weeks ago. We had a job on the lot right next to the bridge. Oh well We still run the logging road back towards Mt John right?

As far as I know there hasn't been any trail changes on the west side of rt-114, trail 105.

Did you guys make a trail down to Lake Seymour off trail 111???

I'm juggling the same thoughts...should I winterize two sleds, pay for registration for two sleds, pay for two out of state TMA's....and not know if this snow will hold up or it'll turn warm again.

Very, very tough decision. It could cost me $500 or more on this gamble.

wow 500$ considering reg is going to cost you 274$ I dont see where the other 226 $ is going to?

As I said...winterizing two sleds, including having them picked up and returned to our storage place.
apexrtx06
Trailfan how long does it take to get to where you ride in vermont from NJ that trip must suck
TrailFan
About 6 - 6 1/2 hours when we're not trailering, which is why we pay for storage up there. The ride is long enough!
F6 SFD
NOAA.org is saying around 6" from this storm...it's a start.
TrailFan
I'm not making the winterizing appt until we see what this storm REALLY brings!

But hey on the optimistic side...it costs $250 to rent a sled for a full day. As long as we ride our 2 sleds more than 1 day, we're ahead of the game. LOL.... hot damn, this is one expensive sport!! yes.gif

No we didnt. We didnt have the funds after last year.

I was out putting up a junction sign up and I decided to go check and see if Canaan fixed their bridge on 105 just after Big Rock. I couldnt even make it to the brigde because there was so many downed trees. They have some work to do. Anyway I snapped a picture of Big Rock on the way by... its pretty sad IMO.
