The question is how many numbers and letters are there in a standard 2001 MXZ VIN, 16 or 17??

Then does it start with a letter or a number?



The reason I ask this is, my registration has 16. My insurance says I need 17.

I just got my sled back from getting tuned up.. So I check the registration to the sled.. Sled has 17..
Does the Secretary or State not use the first number?

but that could be why K&W said my sled does not exist when i was trying to get parts. but dee's had no problem finding the part numbers
