HEY All, i am going to opologize now for spelling mistakes, i would just like to say sorry to the crossfire guys who been ripping on me. and some how i have been getting in their post ?? but anyways, i have brought this up with some guys at the dealer on saturday, I will be sending a letter to arctic-cat with my dealers name on it for the respect. They are good with cat unlike someother dealers. I will adress these things.

#1 tunnel support issues
#2 should find away to stop making the crossfires bottoming out
#3 hoods are cracking on Crossfire and M-sereies style hood
#4 there has seemed to be unfishined arctic-cat crossfire hoods (NO PAINT UNDER DEACALS)
#5 MELTING ON THE 800cc mountain sleds
THE REST OF THESE MAY NOT CONSERN YOU AT ALL BUT I AM GOING TO PUT THESES IN THERE AS WELL

Cheap plastic on the new F-series and Jag Z1
Cheap suspension set up on the Jag Z1
Reports of Melting plastics on the new F series
Also the plastic for the new f and z should be like the old f-cats
oh yeah new 1000 cc motors blowing up on f and crossfire sereis.

(for being 15 years old, i am very knowledgeable at snowmobiles)

Had no paint under the center deacal on my 05 M that has a build date of nov 2004 . Hood is cracking, no bent tunnel yet. Had to get holtz to fix my suspention and re-valve my shocks.

Great sport. You could have got a Doo and had the pistons ring lands breaking or find the front cooler is part of the frame........find a turle or stump with that.

Or polaris.........$$$$$

They aren't exactly the same chassis but think about it they have taken a mountain sled which spends most of its time in deep powder and now you are taking that same stretched out sled and banging it down trails all day. They just didn't compensate enough for the differences between mountain and trail riding.

then they will ask you if you own a crossfire. your respsonse nope then their response let the people who actually forked the money out for one to complain. after you done writing that letter write one to the gas people and say that you demand that gas go down in price.

either that or they are reading this topic and are laughing that you dont have the balls to sign the letter yourself.

They are other than the skid geometry. An yes the M's are bending too not all but they are too.
You want to know why I think they are? The track is to tight. When they lowered the drivers the rubber band effect of the track is taking the skid trying to jamb it ahead but the tunnel is trying to keep it back and tweek. The crossfire has a different set up kinda like the old ZR and the rear is compressing more but if you run the track tight you will tweek the tunnel. The drivers are not going to come back so the rear of the tunnel is trying to come ahead.

Add that to your letter and blow their minds. They might want to hire you.

SnoXRacer183
I may not always agree with what he says but let him write a letter. If a 15 year old sends a letter into Cat it can only do good, no harm. He is listening to all the problems and wants to help. If the rest of us had the same initiative something might actually get done about it. Or maybe we can all be constructive and help him write the letter and all sign it.

now we are thinking, see alot of you bitching about it and me and 1 other guy are doing something about it, so you others must not care about it
NDMtnSledder
That makes sense Donno on the track tightening issue. It doesn't make sense why some are bending and some aren't be interesting to know what the tension was on the ones that have bent. My track was personally set at 3"s of sag no pulling untill I put the HRP bracket on now i'm at 2" of sag now no pulling.

CATBOY09 you can add 2 cracked hoods from the hood opening cables to the letter both mine and my cousins. I think the tunnel and the hood are the biggest issues.

you shouldnt even be in this confo, you got a f7, i at least am able to buy a crossfire now, stay out, your in the wrong forum, you should be firecat (03-06) and why do you care ??
snopro31
catboy i dont own a crossfire but i ride one from time to time. what gives you the right to tell yeehawman27 to get out of this forum when you dont even own a sled; anysled. he at least he has one. and that statement about "i at least am able to a buy a crossfire now" thats pretty harsh when maybe md funds dont buy everything for yeehawman27. but by the look of this thread you are dreaming and wishing md funds kick in and buy you a crossfire.

I'm sure Cat will be just fine!!!

If we are being honest can you add to the letter for me:

Hey Arctic Cat,

Thank you for making an unbelievable sled. I bought my '06 Crossfire 600 NEW THIS YEAR and have 1300+ miles already this year. I have had NO issues at all. I probably weigh around 230lbs fully geared up and ride hard and have had NO issues with the tunnel bending, hoods cracking, shocks bottoming too much or any of the other problems alway dragged up here. Our dealer has sold numerous X-fires and NEVER has seen a tunnel issue as well. I feel bad for the people who have had legitimate problems but from what I have seen they are very isolated. If I had any of those problems I would take it to my dealer and I know it would be taken care of. This is the ONLY way to get your problems fixed not some 15yr old who doesn't own a X-fire writing a letter. It's all in the customer-dealer relationship!!

The book says 1 3/4 - 2 inches at 20 lbs for setup tention and 2 - 2 1/4 at 20 lbs after break in.

To add my 2 cents... I've had none of the problems mentioned with my Xfire and if the track being tight is causing the bent tunnels and air in th ecoolant is blowing 1000's, these should have been caught by the dealer at setup.... just a thought.

QUOTE(Bad Ram @ Jan 9 2007, 07:24 PM) <
You are threatening to drop them as a consumer... As of right now that will mean nothing to them as you are not costing them any money. You have not spent any money as a Cat consumer so threatening them with the idea of going to another brand is not going to bother them. I understand what you are trying to do, if YOU had a sled with a problem it would carry some weight but you don't at this time. Yes you have said repeatedly that you will be buying one in the future and would like to not have to deal with this "problem" that you feel Cat has ignored. If you feel that Cat is not standing behind their product to your satisfaction then I would suggest you find a differant brand to support. I have never owned anything but Cat sleds and will continue to purchase them until the day comes that they do not support me. I have ridden other brands, seen problems with each differant model and have come to the conclusion that Cat takes care of their consumers as well as any other brand. A lot of the problems stem with the individual dealer not the manufacture. What your dealer will not take care of, mine may with no questions asked. IF you were to have a specific issue with your sled (which you dont have) and did not recieve the service you felt you should with the dealer it is your right to speak with the district manager. If at that point you still do not get what you are looking for you have two choices, deal with what you have or go to a differant brand and try your luck. I would suggest that you spend some of the time and effort that you have put into this crusade on finding a sled that does not have the problems you have mentioned and will fit your needs as a future owner and make the purchase. If it is not a Cat brand, so be it. This is not a slam on you personally but just a suggestion as it seems you are spending a lot of time trying to fix what you see as a problem that, #1 does not affect you and #2 Cat does not see as a wide spread problem. It is good to stand up for what you belive but there is also a time when you need to understand you are fighting against something you can not win. The worst part about this whole deal is that instead of bringing the rest of the members of this site together with you, you are turning them against you as you are getting under their skin with your constant additude of how you are the only one that really knows what is going on with each and every sled on the market. You can take this advice or you can continue on the path you are on but I am pretty sure that you will find in the end that will not get the satisfaction you are looking for after all of your efforts.

Catboy09:
ok, now name when i was talking about other sleds, and saying i know all about them, i only did that with, exspecially the xfire. My dealer is a big influence on arctic-cat if i go to them and complain, something should happen. and about me dropping them, that means at the age of 15, i could by maybe 4 more sleds throught my life just for myslef. plus wife and kids sled in the future.... it would be alot of sleds they wouldnt sell... im not really going to drop cat, i just want them to see it can happen. I will stay with cat untill i die or they go out of bizz. im not bashing cat. and nor am i bashing you i will just say this to everyone on here. think about, if you knew water in your basement is leaking for 2 years and wont do anything about, think about the damage. Same with cat they know about the issue and will not fix, why we dunno. so i am trying to do my best. because i am planning on buying one in the next year. Im the type of person who will get under your skin and then back off and go for, thats just me, but if you really knew me it would be differnt. I am the type of person that if you bitch about ya got to do something about it. like some people on here saying wtf are you doing bla bla bla, im am bitching about but still doing something about unlike so people. i never knew somebody like me trying to do something of it can get bitch at about, why cant ya agree with me, get together here and get it done. the reason why it seems like im turing agaist them is because they turn against me. and for you who have crossfires that didnt have your tunnels bend yet, try to put yourself where some of they guys are now with the bbb and attorny's im sure you would be pissed about it too. What im trying to really make this letter about is the bent tunnels on the crossfire, a little bit on hoods not being finsished and so on, also the cheap plastic on the f-series and that about it. so if we can get together and make something out about this the better off we are, you give me respect i give you respect thats how it works in my mind and im hoping many others. i think most of the problem is that you think kids at the age of 15 dont know shit, and i bust up alot of post such as the post your crossfire and others but thats who i am, so can i ask if we can start over and try to become firends for the love of god.
