I just sit in a lawn chair ond hose the track down as they ride by.

Try the rear wheel kit. It adds 4 extra wheels in the track. Keeps the track away from the sliders. I have also seen a pic of a mini race sled with rollerblade wheels on the inside and outside of the rail. The sliders were actually removed. I went with the wheel kit, but may switch over to the rollerblade wheels for grass drag season.
