I have a 78 Everest 444 liquid, I am going through spark plugs way to fast. The plug goes out on the left side only. Change the plug, then it runs fine for a while. Any ideas what is the problem? Thanks.

probably running too rich on that cylinder. I would clean out the carbs. One of the floats is probably stuck and pumping in too much gas.

It could be a bunch of different things. I would start with a compression check to make sure that cylinder isn’t low on compression. Then check the spark plug caps (do they fit tight) and the wires. It could be the carbs but with a dirty carb they usually run lean (clogged jets). Might even be a weak coil, could try changing them side to side to see if it still happens to the same side or not.
One more thing. Does the pulse line go to the left side of the motor? If it does you could have a pinhole in the pump diaphragm allowing gas to run into the bottom of the motor.
