70 miles in the UP. We were there when they had snow but we were riding in heavy rain. Gave up when it was more water than snow. Could have rode more the first day but she shut down at 14.2 miles. I thought I had melted a jug. Shut down doing about 45 miles per hour. Would not restart. Towed it back and took her apart in daylight. One side had fouled out both plugs. Need a open end wrench to get second plug on mag side by the way. New plugs and we took off. The power grew as we put on the miles. I'll have to wait until the next trip to see if running warm will help the power.

This sucks, I live in the U.P. and I've only got 30 on mine. Went for a ride today, and turned back cause there were a lot of water puddles just under the snow. Oh yeah, and a lot of kids driving trucks back on the trails. :banghead: The more I ride it the more I want to ride it. She screams.

275 put on my 07 xf800sp in the mountains. Runs great considering we were at 10,000+ feet.
I did break a spring in the rear skid which ruined my new track. Warranty should cover everything.

I've been getting some PM's regarding the 07 XF8 however I am NOT able to respond to these PM's. Ever since Rob upgraded the system a few weeks ago I only have limited access (maybe because I'm on dial up?)

Some questions I've received:
1) Yes I did set the sled(s) up for 9000+ ft begore we left for Albany. (Helix & weights)
2) Top speed on the XF8 was only around 85 mph but will see alot more here in the midwest.
3) Overall I really like the 800. The snopro is the way to if you weigh over 175# IMO.

Next time you are reading a PM and want to reply click on the userneme of the sender. A little pop-up shows and click "forward PM". This is of course assume you are dumb like me...it took me a while also.

Thank you.......I will try that next time. Any clue why I can respond to "quote this post?" Everytime I try the page freezes up.

Thanks

No...I'm not smart enough...sorry.

When they made that guage package with the selectable feature, where you could swap the tach and speedo feature....they missed a useful switch for me. The odometer should be switchable from miles to feet. Then I would have about 400 on it....and not feel quite so bad about getting a new snowmobile this year. :banghead:

4.7 Miles on my '07 XF1000SP. Called my dealer and asked if he had a "snow" option package I could get. He said he wished he did. Keep praying for snow.

My buddy just picked up an 06' crossfire 6 snopro with 700 miles on it.... put 200 miles on in st.germain 2 weeks ago. :beerchug:

Just over 450 on an 07 Crossfire 800. One small issue with the plastic hose covering for the small coolant line melting. This was the only one that I did not heat tape. No bends in the tunnel. I have bottomed out the front of the skid some, the setup is not ideal for anyone over 200#. The shock is valved way to soft and spring is only a 135# rate not nearly heavy enough.

350 miles out out out on Lake of the Woods, 1000 SP, loving it only problem is all that torque is already cracking some of the luggs, guess I have to go a little easier on it, book says if you stud it the warrenty is void, sure would help though nothing would keep up. Cracks the C note with out even trying. can't wait until the snow is in better shape to really let it run
appollo1
450 miles 06 CF7, about 120 this year, only problem was with the wheels by the TSL's and a $2200.00 self inflicted problem.

About 550 miles on the XF8SP now. Running strong. I saw 106 on Lake Gogebic (could of been some spin) Buddy has a new F8 and we were rite with eachother all weekend.

************I filled with 93 and had to pull 5,6,7,8+ times to get the focker to start. Next tank I put 87 in and starts on 1st or 2nd pull again. *************

20 miles on the 1st motor (1 cylinder), another 250 on the second motor (both cylinders), and 361 on the chassis.

1st a bad fuel pump. 2nd bad ECU. Going back on the 10th to try again.

Went on the 10th added 12 miles... sled went down 3rd time. AC and the dealer finally started replacing ECUs to correct issue.

It was in the shop all season except for 9 days.

BTW... I returned the sled as a defective product with the 5th ECU installed. After only riding the sled for 1220 miles in 43 hours (9) days, I didn't plan to have the same issues next year even though I have a 3 year warranty from AC for the EB. dohdoh.gif
