Just got back from Douglas to Carberry down the Hydro line and back down the #1 towards Brandon...WOW we got a lot of snow around here...but she's pretty fluffly. Really need the groomers out now seeing as the base is a little rough and you sink right through...still good riding compared to SummerPeg.
The #1 ride is really a blast if you like the deep snow...I tried everything to sink and stick this RX-1 but no luck...she's AWSOME!!!
I'm thinking Tomorrow or Sunday a ride to Neepawa...should be good..they have just as much or more then Brandon

Dec 29 2006, 09:38 PM
Yea Neepawa is only like 2 hours from Winnipeg, hit the yellow head and it takes you right up there.... in fact head North West and you should eventually hit Sandy Lake

the ride today was awesome, buddy and i started from the beef, n barrel and went east on #1, ditches were awesome, gotta love the fresh snow. Had to help a guy get unstuck but whatever. We rode to hughes picnic area and rode around on some of the trails, tons of fun, well likely be unloading at the beef n barrel again tomrrow (saturday) between 12 and 1:00 and rippin her up again. Anyway if you see us along the ditch goin east on #1 give a wave. Were riding a 99 zr 500, and an 07 F6, orange.
cheers.

Here is a bit of trivia. Manitoba is affected by 6 different weather systems. I don't know them all, but my favorite is the Colorado Low. And we have been unfortunate enough to miss alot of snow. It is supposed to snow about 5 cm. tonight in Winnipeg. I will be doing a little snow dance. SNOW BITCH.

Buddy and i went for a tear last nite, unloaded on the south side of the city. Went around the east way to the TC, played a bit here and there went for java and meandered home. Tacked on 50is miles and called it a nite, good thing cause the clock in the truck said 1:00. Up at 7:00 to walk the poochie, slam some timmies back and good to go for another day. As said before it is pretty fluffy, you hit big drifts and instead of getting a bunch of air you get little air and big face full of powder. But can't complain because we can ride now.

Just got back from a good run to Rivers...lots of snow but you still feel every bump and rock. Only one casualty out of 7 riders..not to bad I guess..and for a change it wasn't me. I sure hopppe the snow comming down tonight makes it to Winnipeg..I want to ride there too!!!

There may be 15-20 cm of snow in Brandon, but environment Canada is calling for 15 cm of snow between Saturday night and Sunday night in Wpg. It is snowing pretty darn good right now. Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very well could have been....there was 2 silver RX-1's and one blue 06 Attak, and 2 POO's and 1 Arctic Kitty in our group...I think we passed you on our way home if my mind serves me correctly. We had a good ride but the one blue XC800 smacked a blown out beaver damn that was hiding on the way to Bauldy and destroyed the left side front suspension and steering.
It's 12:23 and snowin like a bitch here again..the roads are brutal...but this snow is nice and heavy and sticky...which will pack better and fill in todays ruts again!!! LOOKIN LIKE A GOOD START TO WINTER BOYS!!!

Hey Turk....got any pointers on getting some more power out of my 03 RX-1....lol..and i'm not looking for a turbo either..

Just took a run into Spruce woods on the Shilo side...wow lots of powder to play in there, and this snow is a lot heavier so you ride more on top. I wish I was going out for a big ride today...but somehow after yeaterdays 120 miles..DRINKING seems more important for today.
