I have a 02 pro x 600.I just bought a xc 800 clutch to replace the one on my pro x and was wondering if there was going to be any problems with doing that.Is anybody else using the 800 clutch on the small block 600 and if so will my 600 set up work the same in the 800 clutch.

It will work, cover busing is thicker, spider is fordged.

I ran a 600 clutch on a 800 for a few years

I have always understood that an 800 clutch will work on a 600 but not vice versa. The torque of the 800 requires the larger bushing. There was definitely a reason Polaris made the 800 clutches different than the 600's. My $.02.

It will work but i advise agains't it because the 800 Primaries are alot heavier than the 600 primaries do to balance the heavier flywheel and crank on the 800 models.it will take more power from the engine to make it work properly than just a regular 600 primary.

I'm rebuilding a 02 600 ves motor and will my 02 440 Primary work on it?

i dont know about the torque of the 800 twin requiring a heavier primary. Theres some pretty serious sleds out there running just fine on a standard p-85.

Some of the weight is due to the 800XC clutches having the extended cover and cover bushing, as well as the 1 1/8" long roller pins and the wide rollers. If you get a rebuild kit, you will need the 800 twin rebuild kit 2202376 which includes thinner spider buttons.
