Packs plenty of punch, alot snappier than 9mm. If you are comparing the 2 for self-defense, the 357sig wins out for sure... :beerchug:

I think the 357 sig is pretty closer to a 10mm in ballistics I believe. Seems like a good round for a carry gun. I was checking out a SIG awhile back almost bought one.

I settled for a 40 cal. because p239sas only came in that caliber , I can change the barrel to 357 If I want . Going to shoot it for a while and then compare to 357 sig.

.40 is easy to find discounts on ammo too - if that is of a concern.

Its a carry peice , I also have a ruger 9mm and a ruger 22 that I hit the range with. My biggest concern with the 40 is the accuracy of the second shot. 40,s sem to jump a lot when fired.
Sure is a beautiful gun thou, tried to post a link but Im somewhat computer chalenged.

I don't have a hand gun, But I do have a SIG. 30/06 rifle. One of the best rifle's I have ever shot. Pretty accurate.

I think the FBI uses 357 Sig - or Secret Service....
If I was in Law Enforcement to me a 9mm ranks right there with the .38 Special. I'd like a .40S&W or .357 Sig at least - if not a .45 ACP.

.357 sig round is a stopper of a round. I am going to buy another pistol and am settling on 9mm or .40 S&W because rounds for the .357 are insanely expensive, plus I plan to shoot a lot. Sig is a great gun, accurate out of the box.

recommend the .40. You can download to 9mm type power if you want and have the higher end round if you need it.
