WIPolaris did this last year, so since he is in MI I decided that I might as well do this. I'm sure ATOM and a couple other locals could help put in some of their input.
At the current moment we have no snow, but johndee is saying that we may get enough snow for some riding by the weekend. The groomers may be out come saturday, or even friday night. I'll have a more in depth report come saturday/sunday.

Trails are open, most of them not panned at all yet. I rode in to town just to get gas for my sled. Rough, but I wasnt hitting rocks. Lakes are good to ride on, i have seen a few trucks on the ice. We need more cold and more snow, which might be a lot to ask for this year.

Nope, no more snow really. I wont be doing any riding anytime soon. I went out on the lake though because there was like 2-3 inches of water.

We may get some snow tonight, maybe enough to go riding on right now, we'll see. Changes are in the forecast that are looking better for our area as in cooler temps and the jet stream moving towards our favor.

The trails are very rideable, went down to the lake today. Going riding right now, I'll have a better report when I get back.

The trails are really shitty, I would not even advise for anybody to travel up here to go riding. I might ride to school tommorow, but then it looks like the trails will start to be really thin. The trails are really rough, my arms sore from our 7 hours of riding yesterday. WIPolaris, Jumpinspector, and some other friends went riding. We did find a nice puddle to go water skipping on. Good thing is that Johndee is looking for snow and cooler temps to come to the midwest ( this could be winter!) If we get another 6-8 storm, the groomers could get out and the trails would be a lot better.

Ya, tongiht I saw they starting to pann some fo the trails. They looked nice. If you get 5-10 miles out of town i can just about garuntee you will be on some pretty nice trails. The trail the groomer had panned only had two tracks put on it this whole weekend, so its probably just as smooth as a groomed trail.
Also, jared, its nice too see you took the 600 killer out from your profile, you even hit this puddle a little ahead of me and im still pulling on you with two people. Just giving ya shit man..haha
