Anyone ridden from Huntsville to Collingwood? What's the best way to go? Are there lots of fuel stops along the way (I have about a 90 mile range)? What is the approximate distance?

If it was me I would
Seguin to parrysound
down to Honey Harbour
Acroos the lake to Midland
down the rail bed and across to Wasaga
and then your 10-15 minutes.

Just my 2cents

If it was me I would not snowmobile to Collingwood. I went there once and that was enough.. It is a very snowmobiler unfriendly town.

its not a sled town, put it that way... tough getting into town from the trail when I was there a few years ago at a friends place.

its a ski town, not a sled town...

Nobody has snow yet. Just trying to plan a ride for later. If Collingwood is as unfriendly as Trout Creek I'm not going to bother with the place.

If your looking to plan a ride, do the R.A.P. Tour, it is organized and all the towns love sledders

Exactly.. Hard to get anything to eat or get gas and everyone looks at you with this "what the hell are you doing here with that machine look?" It's a yuppy town and yuppies don't like snowmobiles..

Nahh i live like literally 15 mins from collingwood, and the trail is right near the Good year plant. All you have to do is drive along the ditch for like maybe 3 mins and there's like a walmart wit rotten roneys, and pizza pizza is right there to. gas station is down a bit but you would have to take the back roads. But if you want to just skip collingwood the trails around blue mountain singhampton are really nice. Singhampton tho i would actallly suggest to go there. Small town sledder friendly they have a nice resturant called marlin and loratteas, there's gas station right across the raod tons of snow all the time around there. There's a ncie field too wit shit loads of jumps and shit (natuarlly). Pretty sick i would suggest to tour around there. But if you realy want to go to cwood then its deffinatly doable.

If you decide where to ride relying on people's reaction to sleds, where else left is there to ride? You want to try Collingwood? Go and do it, fawk what the town says. If everyone did that, there would be no trails anywhere.

I disagree.. I want to go to sled towns like Bracebridge where the trails goes right through town and you pull in to see sleds everywhere parked at every restaurant. You always feel better when amongst your own people..

We rode to Collingwood last year. People were as friendly as anywhere else. Stayed at nice hotel accross from the Holiday Inn which was run by the Holliday Inn but only 85 Bucks for the night with 2 double beds. It was a nice trip.
