I run a 1995 XLT 600 with the Highmark Turbocharger and fuel injection system. Even in the manual it warns that the alternator output is too low to run both the headlight and hand warmers at the same time. Is there a higher output generator for this sled or any other simple way to add more charging power?
Thanks in advance!

that doesn't make sense. I had a 95 XCR 600, same basic motor and alt, no electric problems in 4000 miles. Based on what you say, you can't ever turn on the warmers because the headlight cant be shut off. Don't worry about it.

Was your a turbo also? Remember I have to run an ECU and a fuel pump runnuing 40lbs of pressure.

do you have any pics of your turbo setup? I have a '94 xlt with hand warmers, headlight, belly strip light, winshield washer lights, vent strip light, and some little blue lights on the nose. I have no electrical problems, nor do I have a turbo though.
