My buddy is selling this 2001 mxz 600 with less than 60 miles on it, but it needs some major repair. How involved would this repair be? Do I need a new tunnel?

Thats a crappy picture

well the bulkhead and radius rod are smashed. the bulkhead is major work. im sure a dealer would charge upwards of $2,000 to fix it. it really isnt a do it yourself job for a novice either.

i would say if it works good, and you cant tell its there, just ride her and dont fix it. Fixing it involes pulling the motor and basically everything else on the front of the sled, its a 100% tear down job.

^^ agreed. Replace the rod thats bent and if it runs alright forget about the other piece, maybe get a full skid plate to protect it a bit. But replacing that piece basically means taking apart the entire sled. IMO it's not worth it.

Shit, that aint that bad. My 700 looks worse than that. Replace the control arm and ride it.

How much ? For a good price it could be a good spare parts sled.
