Its casted so i cant extend it at all, cant reach the handle bars. I am making a PEZ dispencer for the vicodins.
The ladder slid out from under me while hanging christmas lights. I landed on the ladder which was laying on the concrete I was about 15' up. I broke it good.
But I got insurance for that. I don't have insurance on my SRX that burnt up the piston :banghead: looks like its going in the shop for the better part of the winter. I cant wrench very good with the one arm

Had that happen to me in 2003. Broke my colar bone right in half. A metal plate and 6 screws later, and i was good to go. Take the medicine like its candy and enjoy how the couch feels for a while. I caught up on A LOT of sleep when i was broken. All i can say is keep ice packs on it.
you should be ready for some late season riding (or atleast keep your hopes up for that)

You need to bring my tralor Back so i can load my sled on it. Then you need to wrench off my motor next week. hard to wrench with one paw

right when i first saw that picture, My first thought was a ladder sliding out from under you, Seriously!!
that is too weird. \
Seen it happen to one guy, I even warned him that he had it upside down before it happened. his proud moment? not spilling the beer he was holding!! he was messed up bad also,
A pez dispenser shouldn't need any mods for vicodin, the vicodin EX's might be a little large though.
I am suprised the didn't set you up with oxy-contin or MS-contin for that.

Thanks for all the concern fellas.
Just for the record the ladder was set up correctly. The problem was the two sections separated and cracked the frame. So the ladder flexed in the middle changing the angle that the pawls (feet) were on the ground. Causing the massive failure of my snowmobile season. The ladder landed flat the I proceded to land directly on my forearm which landed on the friggen beam of the ladder. Sure could of used someone to butt the ladder. But you know how it goes when you put something off untill the last possible hour before the wife gets home.

The bottom bone (ulna) was shattered and pushed passed the top bone (radius). I get to keep all the screws forever. The surgon said that some times people get the plate removed because its so close to the surface. Once in awhile the plate will come through the skin. Not something to look forward to.

an extension ladder with a crack at the joint?
That is some scary shit, I was using a 24 footer to reach the top of a 2-story log cabin installing a DirecTv dish and the ladder seemed unusually wiggly that day, coming down something pinched my finger, when I peeked at the back side of the ladder to see what bit me, I found both sides cracked about 6-inches down the sides right at the metal joints that hold the upper section (werner Blue ladder) That had me freaked out for at least a week. Got that sucker replaced with the orange model same day, and we used a sawzall to cut up the old one so nobody would try and salvage it.
get well soon, Seems like your already used to typing one-handed. Did you learn that from visiting porn sites?

I think he is typing on his PDA, so it's pretty easy to type one handed. But the porn sites probably contributed!

Werner ladders are a POS. The flysection actually seperated when it flexed. All my ladders will be fire rated in the future.
I one hand type on my phone/internet most of the time but the porn sights really helped out.

Had my plate and my 6 screws taken off of my colar bone. Leave the shit in if it doesnt bother you, i re-broke my colar bone right in half again when i had it taken out. Bout a month after the plate was taken out, i was back under the knife and i had the plate put back in, and it will be in untill i needs to come out.
ps. now that i have had the plate in there for a while i sit and wonder, what happens if the screw gets striped out going in, do the garb it with a vise grips and take it out and shit like that? lol after 3 surgerys of 6 screws comming in and out, you think about werid shit when you recover. (my plate is right under the skin)

Well.... I would guess that they wont bother taking out UGYFD's plate because I doubt that he will grow at all anymore. Where in your case, I bet thats why they took it out, so you could grow a little bit without the plate being under stress or messing up your bones.
That talk of stripping out a screw thats in a bone sounds pretty nasty business. YEOW!

it is that fucking Murphy guy and all his stupid laws!!
Murphy's 2nd law; Whatever can possibly go terribly wrong, will go wrong!! and at the worst possible moment!!
Murphy's 1'st law; Don't mess with Mrs. Murphy
Wait till you run out of thse vicodins, the first couple days it really sucks, then it gets better from there.
Depending on how long you have taking them, some common withdrawal symptoms could be restless legs, the sweats, irritabilty.
Give it a week, you'll get back to normal. (been there, done that after my 2nd of 3 spinal surgeries)

I hate to bring up old shit but I figured I would show you where I fell from. But the cast does come off in three days, then its a removeable brace for 6 weeks. Just in time for my trip up north the second weekend if march, I hope. I fell from the peek over the garage next to the truck, on the concrete.

Pray for snow! Great Ice base on most of the trails, and still decent snow in woods, so if/when we get some measurable WET snow things should be great!

You should be giving those things out to your friends like crazy since they(me) has helped you wrench on that SRX for how many hours.... ahhh..... my back hurts from leaning over the sled..... ahhhh.......
quit falling off your roof and get that damn shed build so we have a reasonable place to wrench on the sleds.....
