I need to replace the bronze bushings in the front skid arm on my Crossfire. I have the old ones out, has anyone done this and what are the tricks. I've tried freezing the bushings and heating the arm with a torch with no success.

You are on the right track. keep the bushings in the freezer for at least 2 hours. Then ream the inside diameter of the arm. Using a port polishing tip in your die grinder or a correct size reamer if you can get one.

Ream the inside diameter until the I.D. is .001 greater than the frozen bushing. Once you have it sized, hurry up and press the frozen bushing in place using a arbor press or a good vice. Don't try to hammer them in as that will immediatly increase the diameter of the bushing.
