I just some new polaris plastic skis on my XCR and have some decent carbides on, but my front end just darts terribly. I have to wrestle with it to go straight down a hard trail. I dont notice it much in ditches or power, but you dont go too straight there anyways. I'm pretty sure the toes of the skis just angle out too much, cuz it just feels like the skis take turns pulling me in different directions. Whats about the right degree of turned-out-ness?

If your sled is toed out it shouldn't be causing a darting probably, even so 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch toe out would be about what you would want.

MY 2000 SLED WAS ALL OVER TO THE POINT THAT MY WIFE WOULD NOT RIDE IT. ON MY 2003, THEY HAVE "ACCU-TRACK" SKAGS. ( TWO RUNNERS ON BOTH SIDES ) THIS WILL FIX THE DARTING PROBLEM IF THE SLED IS SET UP CORRECTLY.
HAVE A GOOD ONE

Make sure your skis are for the pre-97 spindles. There is a big height difference.
