Maybe it's just because I stopped there yesterday, or maybe because it's lunch time, or maybe it's the old Scarborough boy coming out in me, but if anyone here is from the GTA (Greater Toronto Area) there is only one place to go for a burger.

Southeast corner of Sheppard Ave and Victoria Park, only one location, been there since God was a child, you know who I talking about........JOHNNY'S HAMBURGERS

No place to eat, surly staff, and about the best tasting and cheapest burgers on the planet. Been going there since I could drive. Even my son got all his college buddies to go there for lunch every day!

What's your favourite place?

You have got to be kidding me.

Way overated and not worth the wait. Heck, they're not even worth stopping for.

Lick's burgers are pretty good.

As nasty as they maybe, I like White Castle's sliders. Good drunk burgers.

I'm not real sure the best I've had was but I really enjoyed the slabs I had Roxy's in Ontanogan and the bacon burger I had at Gogebic Lodge. There are a lot of great burgers out there.

YES!!!!!! THANK YOU for reminding me of Monk's. That place has become my MUST GO TO place whenever we're in the Dells. Best burger I have ever had, period. Also a fun place to sit and drink and watch a ball game with buddies while the wives go to the nearby shops. There used to be a place between the Dells and Briggsville called the Duck Blind that had awesome burgers too, but it sadly has become some sort of antique store.

If somebody's looking for a chain of places, try Red Robin. Not the greatest burgers you'll ever have, but clearly the best burgers in a chain of stores!

And I also agree with White Castle and Krystal hamburgers (Krystal's are found in the south.) I wish I was closer to either one of those places!

Dagnabit! I've passed the Duck Blind hundreds of times on my home and thought of stopping at least half of the time...sadly I never did and I guess I'd be wasting my time now.

My favorite burger is from a place called The Border Bar in Taylors Falls, MN

I have ate at a in and out when I was out west and liked that also.

I had a great one yesterday at Applebees to but not the best ever but really hit the spot with a couple tall beers!

Been there....

Best burger? The Inn at Little Washington, VA. Its a veeeery upscale restaurant, one of the best in the nation, and cooks one helluva burger, if you can get the chef to make you one...it'll run ya about $40 though.

Chains...hands down for me is Whaddaburger. Then, good ole sliders. I grew up in Oak Forest, (suburb of Chicago) and we had the WC down the road. 5c burgers...

Ma and Pa....a little drive-in in Delano....I think its called Peppermint Patties?

If that's the place in Brookfiled on Bluemound Road, you are correct! Very good food!
NY_SXR700
No question about it Rochester, NY Schallers at the lake on Island Cottage Rd. or Nick Tahos for a "garbage plate". I travel all over the place and have for the past 20 yrs. I am typing from my hotel in Trononto right now. I am a pizza and burger freak. I hav never found any places better than these. A garbage plate is cold baked beans with mac salad, home fries and 2 cheese burger patties on top or you could do red/white hot dogs. This is some good eats at 2:00AM!!! Doug

blasphemy.

anyways, the best burger I ever had was when I was in cuba at this little walkup grill on a beach. There was all this bacon and stuff on it. Actually, most everything there was wrapped in bacon; hotdogs too. Anyways great food.

Best normal burger is the 1/2lb flamethrower from dairy queen(best maker of mainstream burgers).

That's all my mom ever talks about when I head up to Milwaukee...pretty good burgers.

Another place this is probably one of the best burger I had was when I went up to Cable, WI and ate at the Pioneer. Pioneer burger was awesome!!! I felt like an oompa looma afterwards, but it was soooo worth it!
