Full Version: Heads-up hose rub 600 ho. Re-minder.

I See three potential hose rub spots. You all need to get in there and put some protection in before the inevitable happens.......a hole. The recoil housing top bolt 12 o'clock and 1 o'clock, especially the latter. That hose just sits on them and rubs hard. I also saw on mine the hose up front rad right side where the exh pipe spring mount is just after the shock tower. Theres a sharp edge there that meets the hose, I wrapped the hose at that point with velcro. FYI. :div20:

mine has a nice hole too, have to get something to sleave it with!

Ok, there are a couple of more potentially bad spots.

1. Behind the brake disk , where the hose is pinched between the gas tank and the bulkhead, you should put some door edge molding (or similar) on the bulkhead edge to prevent damage.

2. Under the pipe, the sharp edge along the bulkhead right behind the radiator box. You can loosen some of the clamps and slide things around so it doesn't chaffe there. Add corrugated tubing if necessary.

If left alone, any of these areas will cause problems and strand you.
