By Sunday morning Turnagin had gotten over two feet of heavy but new snow. Looks like they have over 48 inches of snow now

At this rate it may never open.... The first winter I get a new sled and there isn't enough snow to use it.

talked to the park service to day Dec 12 2006 at 2 PM it is snowing in Turnnagin pass it had 12 inches today an snowing hard got over 2 FT of new on Sunday from the storm an had 18 inches at the parking lot on Fri. so you add all that up, an it should open as soon as they talk to Seward park service the official depth is 3 feet at the parking lot to open as they don't want to damage the grass, so it is up to there discretion as to when they will open it ,soon I hope
