I just ran side by side up to quarter mile three different times with an 04 700xcsp with my 02 700xcsp Edge X. Both sleds are stock other then studs now. Needless to say, the guy with the 04 was abit put off considering he spent 3 grand more for his sled and he loves to race. His break in period is over by the way. Does anyone have any hp numbers to compare these models? Thanks in advance.

While im not sure on horsepower...a polaris mechanic told me that the Team roller clutch slows the sled down a tad vs. the regular button clutch. A little bit of performance loss tradeoff for PERC and superior backshifting.

02' 133hp, 04' 127hp. What TEAM claims is 4hp at the track improvement over button clutch. Not sure abouth the PERC.

He should be happy. The '02s were/are very fast. Why would he expect to be faster? Same motor, same chassis. Only difference is the perc and roller secondary.

I've seen lower 120's for the '03 and '04 700's.
Nobody seems to know where the power went, but
if Polaris thinks they will keep customers that way,
they are nuts!
I've heard the springs in the '03 team clutches were
too stiff, and 30 lb lighter spring helped out.
Don't tell him though if you really enjoy kicking his tail!
Maybe you'll make him not like to race as much? :beerchug:
