I have a mxz 500ss carb sled (new). My dealer suggest 1 quart of oil per tank for breaking it in. This seems a bit excessive. I'm just looking for honest 2nd opinions. Is about right? Thanks.

Yep, that what they say. It’s really not that much extra oil. I did it to mine (actually the dealer put the quart right in the tank before the sled was even fired up). :div20:

yep thats right. I mix all my toys that need mixed gas with half a quart of oil for every 5 gallons of gas.
For a break in period I double it. So on a snowmobile by adding that amount to the gas you are actually doubleing the amount the engine it really getting.
