I went out to the races today, I only get there about halfway through but it was still a good time. The last race was great though, Pro Champ 440 Final. PJ Wandersheid, Adam Meils and Gary Moyle got stuck together in the first corner and all bit it. Wandersheid was okay but Meils and Moyle had to stop. Then at the 3rd corner, Terry Wahl hit the bails and was out too. They re-started the race and PJ was out in front when I started to smell somethng like burning rubber. Then he fell back to 2nd, then 3rd, and ended up in 4th or 5th, and Dustin Wahl took the win.

Girlfriend and I got back from the lake too late. We arrived at the track shortly after 3pm. Hopefully I'll see some of you guys out there at the next derby or on the trail....If we get some more snow...

That last race that one guy (can't remember his name) was way ahead of everyone until about 2 or 3 laps left and he bit it. Then Wahl just walked away to the checkered flag.

Some of these keyboard racers should get off their asses and come out to see what real racing is all about :div20:

Terry Wahl was also involved in the first corner crash, there were 4 of them. The person way out front was Chris Hortness on a Ski-Doo, then his belt gave up. I was taking pics at corner 2 it happened right in front of me.

You could smell it, he had the champ 440 in the bag until that happend, he also went into the bails pretty hard.
The race in March usually has a big turnout. :beerchug:

I posted some pics and results in the General Forum and you would think that I was from another planet. That forum I am sure that it is dedicated to brand bashing only. lol.

What was the attendance figure? Why don't they advertise this more for new people and people who used to go to this race come again, they used to have 20,000+ people in 1974 or so. I believe it is also the oldest snowmobile race (going to be 45 yerars this March I think) and seems to be the fastest with the biggest track. Was it free for locals again? Maybe there should be discounts for club members and sno pass holders to boost attendance.

Attendance for Dec race is always poor. Racer attendance was one of the best ever. Not free for locals this year. Free if you volunteer or become a sponsor. They usually give a discount if you come by sled.
