Fro
Rode from Higgins Lake toward Dingman's yesterday for the first ride this season. About an hour in, my '90 650 Wildcat let go. No warning lights, no changes in performance, nothing. I was running about 65 down a seasonal road, steady speed not pinned. Sounded like a belt broke & slapped the hood, but then came all the white smoke. DOA. Rod thru the block, shit everywhere. It had 1900 miles on it. Well maintained. Loved the fucking thing. At this point I'm forced to pull out my Yammy. It's a good sled, but something about that dam Cat I love. What to do? Should I part it out? How much is a replacement motor? Other motor options? Right now I'm all messed up about what to do. Probably put it in the corner for now & cool off. Any suggestions on where to start looking for parts would be appreciated. Thanks.
