Thinking of buying a 04 700 S/B for my wife to replace 00 500 xc sp, its in great shape with elec start
and perc all stock. I know the people that used to own it also. They ride alot both in MI and out west.
It was always servied at the local polaris shop and very well cared for.
dealer wants $5000 out the door for it. The down fall is it has 8200 miles on it:(
It was always ridden bye a woman too, just wanted some feedback good or bad.
Peace

$5,000.00 for a sled with 8K on it? and no warranty?
I would consider getting a new 05 or 06 leftover for the same price, and if you need a longtracker, get an extension on it and a new track and only be behind that 5K price by another $1,000. But then sell that stock track to make up for some of the extra money spent
5K seems to high for that type of mileage.
Especially when you could get into a 2005 900 for that price.
Do a little shopping,

5000 is way to much for a sled with 8000+ miles even if it was ladie driven.

Seems High. I just paid less than that in canadian funds for an 04 700 Switch with 2300 miles.

I owned that sled and sold it after one year and got $5200 with less than 1000 miles on it. The dealer is in the ozone with that one. I would give no more than 3100 tops. With that many miles it doesn't make sense to pay top dollar as many of these sleds need rebuilding well before that mileage. Figure a rebuild soon...and pay accordingly. Or look for one with way less mileage.

I will sell you this one for 5000, it has fox floats with one season on them electric start, electronic reverse, new clutches, almost new slt slp ski's, new pistons and rings, slp low compression head for twin pipes (runs real nice on regular gas now) 2" track (wife won't get stuck) SLP air box Kit, I just put hand guards on it too!!! Oh, it has 8000 miles on it....... BTW when I tore it down and installed the new top end it still looked like it had another 8000 to go! Everything looked good..... I would say the dealer is a little high when you take mileage into consideration.... :fluffy:

04 600 Switchback was great. I sold with 3200 miles in 04 for 5250. You will see my last years 06 switch which it traded to Wheels in Fargo ND on my avitar. It is still there. For 6299.00. It is still there. Make them an offer. There is no comparison between 06 and 04. You wife will love it. www.wheels-inc.com
