I want to build the SCS comp ramp, as every freestyle guy I talk to say that is the way to roll. I have tried Steve@scsracing, and he has never gotten back to me. also tried them on myspace with no luck. I have fsx practice ramp plans but dont wana spend the money on buliding this ramp if I can get SCS plans.
ZRider600

I keep getting tons of pm's for the plans so Im just gonna post them here, have fun and good luck!

8 Foot SCS Comp Ramp Plans

10 Foot SCS Superkicker Plans

FSX Practice Ramp Plans

Heres what kind of airtime you get off a Comp Ramp at 65 feet for reference purposes. Superkickers with send you a lot higher, the Practice Ramp will keep you a little lower than the Comp Ramp

jesse, for the HUGE ASS ramp in the pit for the distance we are gunna just double the plans for the practice ramp, haha, this is gunna b NUTS!!!!!

I dont get the plans for this ramp. First off wouldn't we have to know the lengths of the supports circled in blue? Also the angles circled in red are pointing to places that dont make sense? If someone could help me out I would appreciate it. Thanks a lot.
Shawno
These might help.

the cut list is great for the super kicker, does anyone have the same thing for the other two ramps?

I have not hit a super kicker yet, but from what I've been told it is a more predictable ramp.
When I get a chance to try one I'll let you know. grin.png

As far as a cut list for the others, make a wood template for the ramp portion and trace the angle of the support on to some scrap wood. This will start to give lengths and cuts.
I said use wood for a template not the ramp structure, wood is cheaper than steel.

This might be dumb, I understand the structural integrity increase of the steel, but they make roller coasters out of wood. Couldnt you make the ramp out of wood? maybe 4x4s for the main supports and 2x4 for all the cross bracing? just seems that with support plates at the joints and what not you could make something thats just as sturty for this application. just a thought.

the comp and the comp2 ramps are nice but once you hit a kicker everyting else feels weak. Iv rallies comps ramps for about 2 seasons and about 1 month ago i hit a kicker... the kicker is totally a new beast. put this into consideration a comp landing should be 12ft tall and kicker should be a min of 22 ft tall...

If you have a comp ramp and want to see what a kicker would feel like prop the tall end of the ramp up 18 inches and see who has the bigger balls to go 1st haha
there you go boys
sleds 4 life
do you have the comp2 designs?? i am looking for those since maybe it is an improvment over the older comp designs?
snoprochris16
I do not sorry bro ,I got kicker and comp 1 plans from rogers and blaze
sleds 4 life
ahhhh shit how high does the comp ramp come out 2 be? i want it like 8.5 feet tall or sumthing but in the drawings there only 7.7 feet high??
snoprochris16
um I built my comp last summer. Im pretty sure it was 8ft something but im not 100 percent sure.. well I have to put new decking on it tonight so ill mesure it for ya and get back to you.

Which side view?

Super Kicker or Comp Ramp?

I do not think I got it. I'll have to search my old PC.
jordan123
alright, if you find them that would be awesome. did somebody buy these plans and scan them, or how are they getting out? i thought they were like 300$ plans?
Shawno
Couldn't find them.
As far as where the plans came from I am not sure I got them in an email.
jordan123
does anyone know where i can get the comp ramp cut list? also is there an email address i could get ahold of scs with and maybe see if they will sell me just that sheet. but it doesnt seem that they have anything on there site about their ramps anymore.

i have no problem spending the money to make a ramp but what do you guys use for a landing? Im stuck because my dad wont let me use dirt or mulch or anything like that. What could I use?
gsxkid
My plan is to make the comp ramp and put it a couple feet from my 6 ft fence in the backyard and make a landing in the front yard . Any ideas. I have nice grass so my dad wont let me put a pile of wood chips or anything. Will a wood landing work?
ZRider600
whats the best way to build a landing. im getting serious about building a ramp because im sick of driving 2 hours to hit them. What should I do? Use gravel with a foot or 2 of dirt on top? any better alternatives to get the landing to size for cheap? I was thinking burying a log pile in dirt but i dont know if that would work as the logs start to rot....

I would go with loam and wood chips mixture. Yes the chips will break down, yes the loam is $$$ however loam should not contain rocks, (rocks hurt) and the wood chips are cheap (usually free) to add bulk to the landing. Also the chips would keep it from eroding and the loam should support grass on the sides that will also help prevent erosion. On top of all that the the mixture should be easy to reshape as needed.
ZRider600
shawno how much will it cost me to get you up this way with your bobcat for a weekend?
Shawno
I'll take a look at a map.
If it is only building the land ramp and the materials are there I'd only need half a day or so.

Does anyone have the cutlist for the comp ramp?

from what dane ferguson told me, comp 2's are almost super kickers. the guy that replied above you is right though, super kickers are where its at. up here in alaska we only use super poppy ramps for freestyle motocross and snowcross. comp ramps are kind of weak, but you can get bigger gaps on them. after you put a super kicker at 70 it starts pushing it if you want to move it back any further. however, if you hit super kickers first, and try a comp later, you've got a good hane of launching really front heavy. thats on a motorcycle mainly because weight transfer means so much more.

comp 2's and superkickers are very similar. the comp 2 is just a little bit shorter and it sucks a lot of your speed out of your in run. I havent hit a legit kicker yet but Im told its a lot smoother than the comp 2

Whats up guys looking to build a ramp also...any updates on a cut list???
ZRider600
I just ordered the steel for the Superkicker. I'll keep you guys updated as Im building it. The steel cost me 624 dollars but I work at the company I bought it from, so expect to pay more than that for materials if youre gonna build a ramp.
ZRider600
Well i got all the parts cut and I'm at my buddy's work getting the ramp welded up. The trickiest part of the whole deal was bending the rail right. its tough to make it perfectly smooth. Other than that just make sure everything stays square and it goes pretty smooth. I'll post up some pics later.
ZRider600
Well its all together! It took us about 10 hours to turn 15 pieces of steel tubing into a fully assembled and painted SCS Super Kicker. Like I said before, the trickiest part of the whole thing was bending the transition rails. Otherwise it went together problem free. Just follow the cutlist and the plans and you'll be fine.

Heres some pics, sorry theyre only shitty cell phone pics.

snofevr083
nastie bud. ill try and get them tracks for you this week. get some plywood on it so we can launch that bad bitch
foxfloat
hey i am going to be building a ramp this summer and was wounder what kind of ramp to build. this winter i just made a 6ft sno jump with a 20ft gap and i have seen the pro's hit the supperkicker and 45 angle on it seems kind of crazy but i guess i would have to see the ramp up close but do you think i could handle the supperkicker next season and is the com1 ramp a lot more mello of a take off than the supperkicker
foxfloat
how much would it cost to build the ramp and could i still do a variety of tricks on the comp 1
ZRider600
If I were you I'd build a comp 1 to start out with. Theyre more mellow than a super kicker but you can still learn pretty much any trick off of them. The comp 1 will be a lot safer to hit given your experience level. You dont wanna just go huck yourself on the biggest ramp you can find, thats just asking for trouble. Expect to pay anywhere from 800-1000 bucks to built a ramp. My super kicker cost 625 bucks for the steel and I get it at a discount from my work. The plywood is gonna run you 140-200 bucks. Then theres the whole pain in the ass "making a landing" thing. Start saving your pennies. Also youre gonna need a sled that can take the abuse of rampin. An F5 Sno Pro isnt gonna like it too much. My buddies had a guy come over and huck their comp 1 on his f6 and when it landed he was plowing snow with his nose cone for a good 30 feet till the suspension came back up. Then eventually it just shit the bed and hasnt started since. You can find some pretty good deals on used race sleds. Good luck.
foxfloat
alright i am not going with the supperkicker but what about a fsx ramp compaired to the comp 1 and i've been hitting my sno jump with my f5 sno pro and its been fine and i have the fox zero pro shocks on and if you just land soft enough i dont see any problems with it.
snofevr083
i wouldnt try it with a firecat. jesse, show him the killcrew video of that kid hittin their comp ramp with the firecat. foxfloat, i think you need a little more experience before i would go hucking urself off a ramp. find yourself a used racesled, something for cheap money, firecats just arent built to take that kind of abuse
