I have a 2000 ZR 600 that ahs d&d twin pipes, v-force 3 reeds and a clutch kit in it, When i punch the throttle it is very hesatent and bogs down until about 20mph than it wants to haul ass. Can any one tell me what the problem could be? We just got 3 feet of new snow in about 4 day and i really need to go for a ride. Any help would be great. Thanks

first try disconnecting the kill swith. plastic washers on the flipper wear out and cause a bog.
if thats not it check your belt and clutching, followed by your carbs, reeds then stator.
just a few ideas of what common problems are with these sleds.

just what he said, but in another order, check clutch first for broken spring or weights eating the spider, thottle washer things..yes they need to be in good shape, if you can stall the sled by tilting the flipper up, twisting it up or down. then they are shot. Pull carbs. clean them, choke cables too. reeds, broken?

fastest place to start is a new belt,50 bucks for a new 0627-020,even if that is not it you can always use it.be sure to check your belt deflection right away,1-1-1/4 inches, should be 1-1/4 but some do like to be at 1 inch.good luck.

i started out with the same sled, my throttle switch has been disconnected for years now. so i'd start there, my problem was coming out of coners it would stall.
i've also had to replace my clutch becuase the previous owner never replace the clutch weight bushings.
let us know what you find. also what is your engagement at?

are you using d&d's clutch kit with the twins? if so you should have their green spring. you can change to their teal or orange to get the engagment down a little. i would shoot for about 5K, or better yet call d&d and ask them what they recommend. they might clutch it high because there's no power below that.
