I'm picking up a 2006 600 ho tomorrow. I'm looking for info on the sled, what service bulletins are out, how can I find out what’s been done. Sled has 550 miles on it. I'll be studding the track, getting a couple of bags for it, doing any mods that need to be done, going thought it in the shop, I'd like to have things done before I head out w/it the first time. Work now ride later. Any info would be helpful. Always willing to listen to those w/experience.
Who’s using what picks, bags, bars-risers-hooks, mirrors, skegs. I’m just starting to read about this sled, anyone with a laundry list of what it needs or to look out for, send it along. After the holidays I want to ride this thing, not work on it.
Buy the way; it’s an eBay deal, 2006 w/550 miles, paying $4899.00. It may not be a Dragon or a CFI sled but ……….

Go to a dealer that you want to work with. Have your entire VIN number carefully written down.

Ask him politely to run a UNIT INQUIRY display. It will show what service bulletins and warranty has already been performed and will show what service bulletins need to be done. It will also show what Polaris warranty is still in effect.

Tell the dealer about the products and services you are considering buying.

On mine I changed the carb boots, throttle / oil pump cable, and I will receive my new gas tank on Monday.
There is a gas tank fuel filler re-inforcement kit as the necks are prone cracking- I got my kit and decided to remove the big nut holding the console over the gas tank to get a better look. Glad I did the neck was cracked 3/4 of the way around. Other than those bulletins, added a 1.25 ripsaw, 96 (48 x 2) studs on double backers down the middle, dropped to 400s, had my a-arms powder coated black, added powermadd black handguards with the Poo mounts. Looks not too shabby so far- It's the blue and black version.
