I noticed on my 2000 zrt 800 the oil light likes to go on and off and seems to stay on more then gos off. The sled is eating oil and is fine. My friend told me to take the oil gauge sencor that gos into the reservoir and soak it in kerosene to clean it off. Any other ideas?

I would just unplug it. You probably know when to add oil anyway. Otherwise you may have a small short in the wire

hey bigcat01 how much did you spend for a new unit? I rather have the unit work then just unplug it cause artic cat reservoirs when they get below half way you really cant tell how much is left by looking inside. I also have only put 51 miles on the sled since i bought it and i dont know how she is on oil yet if i knew how many tanks of gas to tanks of oil it would be different. I might call up salvage yard and get a used one.

Unplug it and forget about it. You should be checking the oil every so often anyways.
