Stallion Development L.L.C., St. Michael, Minn., was named title sponsor January 10 for the Stallion 200 cross-country snowmobile race. The inaugural event is scheduled for January 27-28 at the Kenneth Schmidt property in rural St. Michael (3740 Gabler Av. NE).
The event is promoted by the Foxtailers Snowmobile Club and will be part of a nine-race series of the United States Cross-Country circuit. The race is expected to draw at least 2,000 fans. Rock band Blind Pigs is scheduled to perform the evening of January 27. A heated tent and concessions will be on site.
In addition to the USCC competition, the Regional One-Lungers Association vintage snowmobile race circuit will run the final leg of its Triple Crown series January 28 on a special racetrack within the boundaries of the cross-country course. "Stallion Development is proud to support a community organization like the Foxtailers," said Joe Egge, Stallion Development chief operating officer. "We're excited to work with the club, the USCC and ROLA."
