The suspension and chaincase bearings are 6205, are they the 1 " or the 25 mm size? Apparently the same bearing number is used and they say 25.4 mm is equal to one inch.

What are the good and bad bearing types and places to go?

What about the Clutch side drive shaft and jack shaft bearings. Polaris prices are $119.99 and $67.99 but later XCR 800 models (same motor style three cylinder) are $38. Why the difference? Does anyone have those bearing numbers to get from the bearing dealers?

Thanks

Check out bearing supply. Get NTN bearings.

That's where I got my skid bearings. Not sure on the jack shaft ones.

Bearing Supply is no longer in business or changed names. Do you know the new name or the address?

Thanks

AS205-100 or AL205-100 (24.5 mm [1"] x 52 mm x 27 mm) -----> fits most 1" jack shafts. The XCR bearings will fit, but are a lower strength. You'd have to get in to a conversation with a bearing specialist for specifics on the why.

Thanks for the info. I did the ski frame but not the drives and jack haft bearingsThe numbers you quote those are for the clutch side bearings? They are greaseable like the Polaris bearings? Are they NTN or can they purchased at other places? Thanks.

The NTN are the best for sleds IMHO. If your changing the drive shaft bearing, take out the seal facing the grease nipple before install, it then lets the grease in when together..
