My husband and I were thinking of selling these two sled to try to get the money to fix my sled and his. We originally got these so our boys could go riding with us well one has moved out and the other has NO interest at all in it. :banghead:

Thanks for any suggestions you can give me

Unfortunately Ski-roule didn't have much of a following.
On the plus side I had a 340 bubble nose, that after an unfortunate throttle cable/stump mishap, left a perfect hole in the cowl for your empties, a la ..
If anyone needs parts, Glen over at Aberfoyle snowmobiles has quite a collection of parts from a switch over during Cat's brief exit in the 80's.

ps the tape on extra engine of the evenrude was just to keep the mice out or at least be able to see easier if they did get into it, but they never did

I would have to dispute what Voodooo said about Skiroule not having much of a following, to a point anyway. I would be interested, if I had room and didn't already have 7 Skiroules. Now, compared to any of the current four makes, Skiroule don't have much of a following. Compared to the other obsolete makes, they are reasonably desirable if the price and/or condition is right. They ranked consistantly in the top 10 manufacturers in sales during the early seventies when 150+ companies made snowmobiles. Today, they would still have to be in the top ten, after the big four, and probably Rupp, Mercury 'Twisters, John Deere, Kawasaki, and maybe comparable in interest to the likes of Chaparral, Scorpion, Sno-Jet or Moto-Ski. It was made to sound like the Skiroule was in the league of a Wee-Lark, a Moto-Loo, a Polaron, or Sno-King.

Just an observation on the popularity thing. I don't know much about the Evenrude, which looks to be in pretty nice shape. The Skiroule has minor visible rust and maybe a cracked hood above the headlight? That is an unusual place for one. If it runs, and the track is good, it should bring a few hundred. Atleast a couple of hundred. The condition of the track is pretty important, as these are hard to find. G.P.I. in Crystal,MI still has about everything else one could need new and at a reasonble price. Good luck with the selling. I would try an ad on Vintagesleds.com website, if I were wanting to sell these sleds.
