I have heard a lot of good things about ODS clutch kits. Just wanted to know if anyone has had any experiances with the 06 700 Xfire kit.

I THINK it's the same as the F7 kit. That's what Dan told me last year anyway. I wasn't comfortable with that so mine's still stock. Crossfire and Firecat are too different IMO. You might want to ask Dan for sure.
FYI I have his kit on my 03 and it pulls on stockers like crazy. It plain works.

I have his clutch kit on an 04 F7 and it rips.
Just ask the Dan the Man, the question. Email him, he will reply....
Back in October I asked him about a xfire 800 clutch kit and the answer was no, not yet but he will have something after he can do some testing. Maybe now he might have something to put under the Christmas tree???

YOU will find that the clutching will be the same for both as I have the same in both of mine. The longer and heavier track that has to be spun is negated by the 60/60 gearing and that keeps the rpms of both kits about equal. You may find that if you have a few extra ponies you will need to go to a slightly lighter finish rate in your primary. I am running dd clutching the same in both. I am adding the shift assist as well which will bring rpms down by about 100 rpm so a stiffer spring will put you back up. If both shops are running same setups, that says alot.

ok, i was also debating on going towards the d&d clutch kit or OSD clutch kit. So what kind of improvements are we talking about here, in comparison with stock clutching? More bottom end? more top end, losses? I to am running the x-fire 7 sp.
Thanks

Dan's kits generally have lots more on the bottom, some in the middle and same top end as stock.
Generally all clutch kits sacrifice some backshift. The benefit is much harder accelleration.
