Used to use Fiberglass all the time to fix hoods, but way too heavy. The fiberglass will eventually crack and fall out from the weight.
There are lots of Plastic Panel Repair Kits on the market. Check auto parts or supply stores. Repair from the back side, preferably using a bit of mesh to re-inforce it. Then a thin coat on top to finish it.
Good luck ylsuper.gif ylsuper.gif ylsuper.gif flag_canada.gif

friend of mine ownes a body shop. does great work. he backs the holes/cracks with alum. and uses pop rivits to hold it in place. He must counter sink them in somehow cuz you NEVER can tell there was a hole unless you look on the inside and see the alum backer. Anyways once this is done, he has some fiberglass that he fills it with. The alum keeps the hood together, and basically the fiberglass is a filler. Never had one come back cracked or busting apart. looks great. never tell it happend..
