Just curious how long the front shocks on my 06 FST should last (how many miles). They are the non-rebuildable gas shocks. I only have 800 miles on them from last year, but hopefully will put a couple thousand miles on them this year.

I believe they upgraded to the rebuildable shocks for 07.

I had the same basic shocks on my 2000 600 Touring and ran them about 4500 miles in two years before I replaced them. I replaced them with the Ryde FX aluminum compression adjustable shocks. Ran them to 11,000 miles before I sold the sled. I would think 4000-5000 miles would be fine. My original shocks started to leak at the adjustment screw after sitting all summer. The adjustment screw has an O ring seal that can go bad after time and there is no way to replace it.

Which FST do you have? The classics came with Fox rebuildable shocks.

I have a classic. I thought it has the "nitrex" shocks on the front. Maybe I'm wrong - I haven't looked reall close at them, but know they are all black and look like the non-rebuildable ones.

My bad, I was incorrectly thinking of the rear suspention front shock. :frech32: Yes, the front shocks are not rebuildable.
