Just back from a day in the woods trapping. There is a two inch base of hard frozen sleet with about 4" of powder on top on the logging roads. Plenty of snow for a ride if anyone is interested in getting in some miles on these roads. Not enough in the woods but plenty of coverage on the roads just north of here. With the hard base, you wouldn't be riding on gravel. I was in the area around Bald Mountain.

it stayed cold up there, snowing in Pittsburg/Bosebuck off and on, I assume same in Jackman.

I was out again today and the base is still fine. The 4" of powder on top has settled to 2" with todays low 30's weather. Weather for tonight is calling for 1-3" from flurries. I'll update tommorrow. I'll probably take the sled for a ride myself.

Don't rip up that base too much Scott! After last year everyones just trying to be patient. My group always plans a weeklong trip and at our pre trip meeting I'm pulling for your cabins!
