So we got a decent amount of snow in barrie the last couple days and I decided to take out my (new to me) 2006 Dragon, and holy F$&@ this thing is unbelieveable, suspension feels really good and off the line its definitly the quickest sled I've ever been on :div20: . But I do have a question, last night was look at a couple things under the track and on the shock under the track there was a rubber "o-ring" that was in the middle of the needle (definitly should not of been there) so I pull it off the needle and it is ripped, so what Im wondering is how important is this o-ring and will it affect the shock at all? Im going to get it fixed im just wondering how urgent it is and where this o-ring actually goes.....by the way these are the walker evans shocks so if any of you guys know anything feel free to let me know :div20: Other than this, im thoroughly impressed with the sled and looking forward to the winter ahead

Thanks for the help as always

The oring is on the walker evans as a tool. Slide it down and test run sled to check amount of suspension travel. It's no big deal if it's missing.

I think what he was saying is the o-ring is there to gauge how much of the stroke your using. If you were bottoming the shock the o-ring would be all the way at the bottom the the rod. :div20:

Thats what I was looking for thank you....but the o ring was definitly ripped, severed whatever you want to call it, is that how it should be, should i leave it on the needle or take it off?

Thanks agian sledsolutions

It doesn't matter. If it's broken it will probably fall off anyways. It has no functional purpose other than to use for seeing how much of the stroke in the shock is being used. If it is broken, just take it off. Sometimes they just break. It's only rubber.

Well perhaps I was a little "vague"?? grinning-smiley-023.gif

They do get torn up when the shock bottoms often but they do nothing so if they come off it doesn't matter.
