There will be very few (new) recalls on a MY04 700 XC.

The norm is if Polaris is aware of a significant problem, when they have a fix worked out, they will announce it as a service bulletin. If it affects safety, it will be a recall. Not all manufacturers are this proactive.

If it's foe the wife buy the 600,if it's for you, get the 700. You can add everything to the 600 and it still will not beat a 7. Trust me,my buddies are kicking themselves in the ass, plus it's a fuelie, no more messing with the choke or jetting for the temps. I personally beleive the 700 fusion is the most under rated sled out there, many have talked shit to me and have went home crying like a little school girl. The 600 is a good sled, but it is still a 600cc sled.

Since your coming off an 800, I would say go for the 700, as it is on par with an 800 (The 700 actually is a 755). Once you get used to the grunt of a larger bore, I think it's hard to go back to a smaller sled.

There is a dude in W.N.Y. with a 160+ HP 660 Fusion that can make a lot of people cry like a school girl.
