I talked to him today about it. Def a pond/practice move, but good for him for having the confidence/balls to pull something like that in a game. He's a good kid, and has some good potential, don't see him sticking around for 4 years though...

We'll be lucky to see him with the M next year. :drunk:

You need to get me some icetime at Mariucci too!

Reid interviewed him last night at the Wild game, the broadcast booth was set up right next to me but it was too hard to hear what was going on.

I hope he stays at least 1 more year, that boy has skills.

i was just glad to see mankato stick with the #1 rated team in the nation after the critics said they shouldnt be allowed to play on the same ice

Open skating everyday from 11:15am-1pm...

Only kidding, I skate 2-3 times a week at lunch, but go over to Ridder so I can shoot pucks, as open skating is going on in Mariucci.

I agree, not sure if Okposo will be around next year, would be great if he was, but he has some talent, not sure if the flash will work in the NHL or not...

No I didn't see it, I don't watch the NHL very often. The guy who I personally don't think is ready for the NHL yet is Johnson. Don't get me wrong, he is a damn good hockey player, and seems deservant of being the #1 draft pick, but I don't think he is a physical enough player yet (esp for being 6'4", 225). He tries too many Okposo type moves, and there is a reason he is a defenseman, but he has talent, just needs some more tweaking IMO...

The problem with the NHL as of late is the teams are all moving toward 6'2"+ players, the small player is being pushed out, bigger isn't always better, look at Boogard sure he's big and a good enforcer but alot of times he looks plain ol clumsy out there

Watching the Wild/Flames game last night and Iginla's power move on that 5-hole goal he scored, reminded me a lot of what Okposo does. He'll be fine in the NHL.

EJ has been flashing lots of talent. He has great recovery skills and almost never gets burned. Now that he's finally cutting down on his spin move he's not giving the puck up so much.

Wow they rolled on Michigan tech tonight best record going into winter break?
