Exhaust valves not opening?? dunno.gif

hope not but maybe twisted crank

My money would be on the VES valves not opening. That RPM is a sure sign. I know when I took my stock pipe off, the VES wiring was slightly melted from being too close. Too much longer and the wires would have shorted out, causing the valves not to open. Just something to double check.

Bad temperature sensor. Order a by-pass from SLP, cheap solution, and I bet you thats your problem. I have had 2 bad temp sensors. Mine wouldn't rev to 8300 anymore, it would only rev about 7600 to 7800, I put the by-pass plug in and revs came right back to 8300.

I looked on SLP's site for a temp sensor bypass. Didn't find one. Do you have a part number?

Looks like you can build you own pretty easy unless there is a resistor in there

All that SLP bypass is is a resistor. If you have an old temp sensor, cut it off, leaving the leads as long as possible. You can then solder a resistor in line and have a $.25 bypass in your toolbox just in case. I can't remember the resistance of the SLP unit, but I just ohm'd my sensor at 100* and bought one with that value...works. DO NOT USE A BYPASS ON A CFI sled.
